Personal Responsibility, Health, Limits, and Liability at YouMeUnity
This agreement applies to the specific booking as well as to other offers, provided that it is included therein or no different agreement has been made. It applies to seminars, workshops, and retreats; individual and couples counseling sessions (including online sessions); free time and temple time during events; as well as exercises, encounters, or processes that I conduct independently during, between, or after events. In addition, the currently valid General Terms and Conditions of YouMeUnity apply.
By making this reservation, I confirm the following:
1. Voluntary Participation and Personal Responsibility: I am participating in YouMeUnity’s programs of my own free will. In doing so, I take responsibility for myself, my decisions and boundaries, my physical and emotional well-being, and my behavior. All self-exploration opportunities offered to me are non-binding invitations.
2. Counseling, Health, and Mental Stability: I confirm that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in the booked activities. Participation is not appropriate in cases of acute mental instability, acute danger to oneself or others, conditions requiring acute therapeutic or medical care, or contagious infectious diseases. I understand that YouMeUnity’s programs are not a substitute for medical treatment or psychotherapy. I will not alter any ongoing treatments or medications without consulting the treating professionals.
3. Boundaries, Consent, and Mindful Interaction: I commit to exploring, honoring, and communicating my own boundaries. I also commit to respecting the boundaries of others at all times. Both I and my partner may withdraw our consent to exercises and physical contact at any time. I may pause at any time, modify an exercise, find rest in the safe space, or seek support.
4. Alcohol, Drugs, and Medications: I will not participate in YouMeUnity events while under the influence of mind-altering substances. If any health, mental health, or medication-related circumstances could affect my ability to participate safely, I will inform YouMeUnity in a timely manner and to the extent necessary. I understand that the seminar leaders and assistants have the authority to issue instructions throughout the entire duration of the events, to the extent that this serves to ensure the safe conduct of the events or the protection of the participants and the seminar venue.
5. Temple Time, Free Time, and Independent Practice: I am aware that even during Temple Time—after the official end of a module, during breaks, and in private encounters—there is greater scope for personal responsibility, and that I am personally accountable for my specific decisions, encounters, physical contact, conversations, and actions. I commit to using hazardous areas only when accompanied by a responsible guide if my vision is impaired.
6. Confidentiality: I do not disclose to anyone outside the group what others share during events or consultations. I do not take photos, videos, or audio recordings of others without their express consent.
7. My Property and That of Others: I am personally responsible for my personal belongings, valuables, etc. I will treat the rooms and furnishings of the seminar venue, as well as the property of others, with care. I accept full responsibility for any damage I cause, whether intentionally or through negligence.
8. Emergencies and Liability: If I feel physically or emotionally overwhelmed or unstable, I will speak with the team as soon as possible, seek appropriate support, and agree that medical assistance will be contacted immediately in case of an emergency. I accept full responsibility for any damages resulting from my own choices, independent exercises, failure to follow safety instructions, exceeding my own limits, or my behavior toward others. YouMeUnity, the seminar leaders, assistants, and authorized personnel are liable for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health in accordance with statutory provisions. The same applies to damages resulting from intentional or grossly negligent breaches of duty. For other damages, YouMeUnity is liable only in the event of a breach of material contractual obligations; in such cases, liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract. This does not affect the participants’ responsibility for their own actions, independent exercises, failure to follow safety instructions, and treating others’ boundaries with respect.
9. Exclusion from an Event or Consultation: YouMeUnity may exclude me, in whole or in part, from an event or consultation if safe participation cannot be guaranteed or if my behavior jeopardizes the safety, boundaries, integrity, or process of other participants, the team, or the space. In the event of exclusion due to a significant or repeated violation of the rules, there is no entitlement to a refund. In other cases, YouMeUnity will decide on a pro-rata refund or rescheduling based on the circumstances of the individual case.
10. Confirmation: I have read and understood this Basic Agreement. I am aware that this agreement applies to this specific booking and to any future offers, provided that it is incorporated into those offers or no different agreement is made. I confirm that I have reviewed YouMeUnity’s current Terms and Conditions at the time of booking. I had the opportunity to ask questions about this agreement, agree to the terms outlined herein, and, on this basis, will participate in events, consultations, and other offerings provided by YouMeUnity.
