The ancient Egyptians enjoyed using blue lotus in their ceremonies and rituals to open the doors to other worlds. Similar to cacao, blue lotus is a heart-opening substance – with a much milder taste than cacao.

The medicinal plant is said to have both a soothing and an euphoric effect. Some even experience an altered state of consciousness when using it.

Use of Blue Lotus

We use blue lotus exclusively as a tea or work with the oil of the lotus plant from time to time. That is more than sufficient. 🙂

Blue lotus is closely associated with the Egyptian creation myth, especially the sun god Ra, and is also a symbol for rebirth, the eternal coming and going that would not be possible without light. Therefore, during our tea ceremony, we primarily connect with the power of the Sun and allow it to strengthen and guide us.

Together or individually, we enjoy immersing ourselves in the moment, feeling the power and energy that we emanate when we surrender completely to the Now. We’ll take home the light that we feel within us and allow ourselves to let it shine into the world bright and clear into the world.
