A Sensual Cacao Ceremony
How does cacao affect us?
Cacao has been known for centuries as a medicinal plant in Guatemala, Peru and other South American countries. The Mayas and Aztecs have been using xocolatl, as they call cacao, as a drink and also as an important component in religious rituals. It has a heart-opening effect that allows us to get in touch with our spirituality and our deepest emotions.
At YouMeUnity we combine the positive effect of natural cocoa, specially produced for ritual purposes, with touch on all levels. During our rituals, a loving, safe space will be created. In this magical atmosphere we invite you to meet yourself and others on the heart level. Meditation and breath, light and shadow, joyful presence and stillness, ecstasy and perfect peace. All of this you may encounter during one of our cacao ceremonies. Anything might happen, but if nothing happens, that’s just as good.
During our ceremonies we sound and sing powerful songs. We also invite silenceto keep us company. During the meditative phase, you can keep to yourself or cuddle up with somebody to feel their loving, appreciative presence. Cacao is a very gentle medicine, and it will show you exactly what you need to see.

It was cacao that made the two of us meet: Joy with her fairy nature had fallen in love with the magic of this plant and thus decided to attend a cacao ceremony in Heidelberg. That's when she first set eyes on Thomas ... It could have been the heart-opening effect of the plant that initiated our special connection. Or maybe it was just surrendering to the incredible, magnetic pull that kept bringing us close together. We can't know for sure, but we highly recommend cacao for initiating a relationship. A cacao ceremony can help you remember that life is pure magic. Are you ready? Come and try for yourself!
Level 1: Beginners and Advanced
Good to know: Traditionally, it is often recommended not to eat anything 2-4 hours before you participate in a Cacao Ceremony. You should also not consume any animal products, heavy foods, alcohol or coffee on the day of the event. This way the plant is given the opportunity to develop its maximum effect. However, we are in tantra. Which is why we will simply suggest you eat consciously and not more than necessary before the ceremony.
Dress code: Similar to Blue Lotus Magic or Soul Sounds, we will perform the ritual part dressed. During the optional tantric temple time that follows, you can also wear whatever you want to wear, but you are also free to take off whatever you want to take off.

Please bring: Water bottle (you can refill it at any time with our Heidelberg spring water), favourite mug.

Cacao & Love alternates with Blue Lotus Magic 6 times a year, usually on Tuesdays or Thursdays in Heidelberg (see dates below). Sometimes we will be lovingly supported by one or two of our shaman and healer friends, such as Anabela from Tempel der Möglichkeiten (Temple of Possibilities).
Our seminars are usually held in German. As soon as someone from another country is present who does not understand German, we switch to bilingual (German and English).

Dear Joy, dear Thomas,
We would like to thank you both from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful cocoa ceremony last Thursday. It was a very special experience for us that we will not soon forget.
What particularly impressed us was the open and warm atmosphere you created. Although I (Simon) am actually a very rational person and had hardly had any contact with spirituality or Buddhism / Tantra before, I never felt out of place. Quite the opposite - your hospitality and the way you guided us through the evening made me feel completely accepted, just as I am. It was nice to realize that there was no "right" or "wrong" way to engage in the experience.
It was also an incredibly beautiful evening for me (Marla). You created a space where you could completely let yourselves go. The way you conducted the ceremony was so intuitive - you could feel how you engaged with the group and included everyone warmly.
At the beginning we were still a group of unknown people, but after these intensive hours a connection developed - suddenly these people were no longer strangers at all, but incredibly approachable.
We are very grateful to you for this experience and for all the effort you put into organizing the evening. It was a beautiful setting, conducted with so much sensitivity and mindfulness that we simply felt comfortable and supported.
